Kurumayama Highland is part of the Yatsugatake National Park which joins Nagano and Yamanashi Prefectures and includes Mt. Tateshina, Lake Shirakaba, Kirigamine and Utsukushigahara. Mountain ranges, highlands, wetlands, valleys, lakes and ponds, meadows, hot springs and forests make up this beautiful area.

Yashimagahara bog is located on the north west of Kirigamine mountains
in Nagano pref,about one hours from the Suwa Lake by car.
Yashima heights is 1600m above sea level.
Therefore we can see boreal flora and fauna such as alpine flowers.
Yashimagahara bog,an oval shape,the north to south of length of 600m,the east to west length of 1000m.
